Since starting Angler Construction in 1994 Lisa Turner has been involved in many community activities. Currently she serves a variety of public service efforts being active at St. Luke’s Episcopal Church, Crossroads Community Ministry for the Homeless, St. Joseph’s Mercy Mobile, the Decatur Preservation Alliance ’s Martin Luther King home improvement work day, the Georgia WINLIST political action committee, the Women's Foundation, and Men Stopping Violence.

Her past involvements include her service on the boards of the Children’s Hospital at the Medical University of South Carolina, and the Dekalb Medical Center. She also has served as PTA President for Clairemont Elementary School.
